Changes in the management of the automotive industry are common. But when it comes to design, brands are more conservative. So a change in design chiefs is news, a change in design chiefs at Jaguar is big news!

Ian Callum, head of design of Jaguar for 20 years has announced he will step down from 1st July ‘to explore other design projects’. It’s said that Julian Thomson, former head of design at Lotus and current creative design director, will be his successor. Julian is a legend in the Lotus community. He was responsible for the creation of the Lotus Elise, type 111 that probably saved Lotus from bankruptcy.
