What a year 2023 has been for us! And for the participants of our road trips as well – we have received so many positive comments, it has humbled us. The response gives so much energy for 2024, we can’t wait to be back on the road again.
Eifel Run 2023
Three days of driving the curviest roads of the Eifel region in Germany and Luxembourg left all participants with big smiles on their faces. We chose an upgrade for the hotel and that turned out well – a spa and swimming pool added quality to the experience. In 2024 we will change directions to explore Sauerland, another curvy destination in Germany. We will keep to good things (like the hotel quality) and aim to find even better driving roads compared to the Eifel region. That will be a challenge for us … Check out the photos and video below.
Grand Tour Pyrenees
A Pyrenees road trip was on our bucket list for many years – but the driving distance to get there stopped us. Until 2023. Assembly of the participants in the Ardèche region in France was the solution. We enjoyed the narrow curvy roads with great canyon views on the first driving day a lot and it also got us prempared to drive the majestic Pyrenees roads. Andorra and Spain were our territory for a few days. The stay in La Seu d’Urgell and driving in Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park was beyond epic. The drive back to the south of France was as fantastic as the route to get to the Pyrenees. It’s been a journey we and the participants won’t forget about! Check out the photos and video below.
LOTUS HERITAGE TOUR
Lotus didn’t know what to do, regarding the 75th anniversary in 2023. At the start of the year they thought they were going to organise an event, but then they didn’t. We were in the midst of organising a tour for the anniversary, when the grapevines let us know there wasn’t going to be an event in Hethel in 2023. We didn’t back down organising our own tour and besides the hassle it has been to pull it off, we don’t regret it one bit! It has been an epic tour, with driving wonderful Suffolk and Norfolk roads and visiting Lotus heritage locations. Highlight was visiting Ketteringham Hall and East Carleton Manor, the residence of the Chapman family. But also the Sunday drive with Lotus Drivers Club East Anglia, creating a huge ’75’with our cars, and the factory visit/Classic Team Lotus works tour were unforgettable. Together with the wonderful participants we managed to create our own anniversary event that won’t be deleted from our minds, ever. Check out the photos and video below.
