THE ROAD TO SILVERSTONE CLASSIC
2020 marks the 30th Silverstone Classic. With its 1000+ entries, the Silverstone Classic is firmly established not only as the world’s greatest classic motor racing festival but also as the biggest motor racing meeting of any genre on the planet. Bends and Curves is present on Saturday 1st August and Sunday 2nd August. Friday 31th July and Monday 3rd August will be driving days from Harwich to Silverstone and back. Besides driving typical English B-roads on these days, epic stops will be part of the program. Read on to see if you want to be part of the convoy.

Friday morning 31th July we’ll have an early start from Harwich. Our first stop will be at Jonathan Wood Vintage and Thoroughbred Restorations (Little Sampford, Saffron Walden, Essex) for a workshop visit and a coffee.

It will be hard to say goodbye to Jonathan, but we’ll have to move on to drive the beautful Essex roads and to head for lunch. This will be at The Chester Arms in Chicheley.

No doubt we will enjoy a marvellous lunch and drinks in Chicheley. More curvy roads are ahead of us though as we drive on to the west. Next stop: Caffeine & Machine in Stratford-upon-Avon. Coffee house, restaurant, art gallery and general hangout, if this doesn’t ring a bell you should worry about your petrol-head-skills!

After dinner the finish of the last leg of Day One will be The Langham hotel in Northampton.
After two days of classic racing at Silverstone a very special tour will be part of the program on Monday 3rd August. If you want to know more about this tour on Monday or about joining us, contact us.
