Lotus Elise 25th Anniversary Tour

Remember Frankfurt Motor Show, 12 September 1995? This edition of the IAA marked the rebirth of Lotus. Romano Artioli and the design- and engineering team of Lotus managed to do what was thought to be impossible: the creation of a brand new Lotus model, based on the defining Colin Chapman philosophy of light weight, great handling and innovative engineering, that helped Lotus to survive and to remain an outstanding sports car brand for years and years to come.

Enter Lotus Elise.

On 12 September 2020 it will be 25 years since the Elise was shown to the public for the first time. At the Frankfurt Motor Show Elisa Artioli, name giver of the new Lotus sports car, was hidden under a cloth together with the ‘Lotus Racing Green’ Elise proto type. When the cloth was removed, Elisa appeared wearing a t-shirt marked ‘I am Lotus Elise’. The rest is history, as they say. A history that was followed by the Lotus Exige in 2000, exactly 20 years ago.

To honor the annual Lotus Stelvio meeting and to commemorate these special moments in Lotus history Delightful Driving and Bends and Curves road tripping are happy to invite you to take part in the Stelvio 2020 Lotus Tour. This tour is all about driving the best roads possible in the Italian Alps and Dolomites and about meeting and socializing with fellow Lotus owners and enthusiasts. 

This epic event starts with a dinner together on Wednesday 9 September in Bolzano/Bozen area and will be followed by 3 days of driver’s heaven. With, of course, a commemorative meeting at Stelvio summit on Saturday 12 September.
